Opening night is here!

A first look at some of the beautiful professional shots from last night’s dress rehearsal of Blue Stockings.

Tonight we finally welcome our first audience to Girton College, Cambridge, 1896, for a story full of courage, friendship, frustration and fight.

Huge thanks to our photographers, for capturing the production so brilliantly.

Last night, the cast and crew of Blue Stockings moved into the Gladstone Theatre for our technical rehearsal, bringing together months of hard work, creativity and dedication.

Tonight is our final dress rehearsal before we welcome audiences tomorrow for the first performance.

Set in 1896, Blue Stockings follows four young women fighting for the right to be educated at Cambridge University. It’s a funny, moving and thought provoking play that still feels remarkably relevant today.

A huge thank you to everyone who has helped bring this production to life, both on and off stage.

This year, our AGM will be followed by something brand new for BDS: our first ever Awards Night.

It will be a relaxed, fun evening celebrating the people, performances and productions that have made this season so special.

We’ll be sharing more information about the awards, categories and voting very soon.

And today is get-in day for Blue Stockings! We’re moving into the theatre and getting ready for opening night this Wednesday.
