5,275 children and their teachers came to Lighthouse Poole last week to experience four performances of ‘Explore the Orchestra: Sing Out!’ - with Enyi Okpara, James Redwood, and Felicity Buckland.
Plus, a further 9,749 pupils accessed the final performance online via classrooms as far away as Hull!
These Key Stage 2 schools’ concerts are created to get children taking part in live music – and supporting their teachers to feel confident in delivering top quality music in the classroom. Each year, we tour Bristol Beacon, University of Exeter, Lighthouse, Poole and Portsmouth Guildhall, reaching an estimated 10,000 children in the concert hall, plus more via livestream.
Thanks to all the teachers, parents, music hubs and venue partners for helping us to reach all of these children with the power of live music. And, it’s not too soon to register for next year! Explore the Orchestra returns in the new year…
