St Peter's Poole

St Peter's Poole Gather. Grow. Gig. Sunday at 10am, all-ages at 9.30am on the 1st Sunday of each month. Hello, and welcome to our page.

St Peter’s Poole is a place to gather in friendship, grow in faith and community, and enjoy live gigs in one of Poole’s most atmospheric venues. St Peter’s, Parkstone is a beautiful, large parish church in the middle of Ashley Cross in Poole. We are part of the Church of England in the Diocese of Salisbury... serving our local community through mission and ministry. All are welcome to become part

of St Peter's, Parkstone... to experience our eclectic mix of worship... to serve our parish through creative partnerships in local mission... and to build relationships of goodwill in our community. For any pastoral needs, or enquiries about weddings or baptisms please contact:

2024 PLANS

Our church building is in need of some careful refurbishment and modernisation, and could be used much more by our local community. So, we would like to transform St Peter’s into a community hub with an emphasis on cultural events, as our aesthetic appeal and resounding acoustics are exceptional. To help fund our exciting plans, we need to sell our church centre on the corner of Chapel Road and Church Road. The planned closure of the centre is 31st March 2024, Easter Sunday, which is very poignant as our vision is to resurrect St Peter's as the cornerstone of our local community... the heart of Ashley Cross. We already have lots of ideas to enhance St Peter’s but would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions, so please get in touch and introduce yourself. We are looking for people with various skills and expertise to help and be part of this adventure… restoring a vibrant space rooted in faith, community and culture.

St Peter's, Parkstone was beloved by Lord Baden Powell, founder of the global Scouts movement, with his marriage and baptisms of his children taking place in the church. Please do also take the time to visit our sister church, St Mary's on Brownsea Island, which is open most days during the summer season. We offer a simple service at 3pm every Sunday from April - October.
