We are more than happy to show beginners new tricks but there is no formal training as such. We cannot accept under 16s without a responsible adult being present for safeguarding and to monitor behaviour. If you are looking for circus skills lessons for children we would recommended Gems Circus School in Bournemouth.

We made the paper in Salisbury!
Jugglers, unicyclists, and clowns descended on Salisbury for a youth-led convention 😲
Organised by Circus Wessex and the Buzz Action Foundation, in collaboration with Poole and Southampton Juggling Clubs, the event saw enthusiasts from around the country showcase their talent.

Jamie Maidment and I had a crack at 10 last night, which went better than expected to be honest.
We don't really have enough height in the hall for that sort of thing but I nearly qualified 8 for the third time and Jamie is getting bloody close as well!
Jamie's club 534 with the 5 as a back cross was pretty impressive. Not sure where he pulled that from, but he's done it a few times now!
I had a 50 catch clean finish with 6, which was nice.
Joel Alex realised that 534 with clubs is the pattern he has been missing all his life!

Poole Juggling Club started in 2009. It is a regular and friendly meet every Monday night from 7pm - 9pm. It is open to all ages and abilities, our current regular members are grandchildren and are grandparents.
Beginners with no circus knowledge can learn how to juggle and professionals are able to practice their latest moves too.
We meet at Skinners Street Hall in Poole. It is a short walk from the Poole Bus Station and Poole Quay. Refreshments including tea, coffee, squash and biscuits are available and included. Each week the number of members can vary but on average we have about 10 attendees. Some members specialise in juggling, some in hula-hooping and some in unicycling. So whatever you’re into it’s likely that you’ll find someone there that does that skill too.
Equipment can be provided. It is used as a practice space by some of Dorset's finest jugglers and even though there is no formal tuition, if you are a complete beginner there are plenty of people at hand to help you along. Free parking is available at the hall in the church car park. With the many members both regular and irregular we have had all of the toys come through the doors, from all the usual props; balls, clubs, poi, rings, staff, hoops. To the slightly more exciting props; unicycles, rola bolas, walking ladders. To the really crazy stuff; fall apart bikes, aerial rigs, slack lines, tall bikes, giraffe unicycles and even converted mobility scooters!
We usually break for tea/coffee about 8pm and you are welcome to join us or enjoy a brew earlier or later. Of course you can continue practising if you would rather too.
We really try to be a friendly club, and hopefully, our members would agree. Not only is it a practise space, but you’ll make friends (if you want to) and we have been to conventions together, seen shows together and had Poole Juggling Club Easter, Summer and Birthday parties where I’ll bring cake and other treats to celebrate.
So if you fancy joining us one week, pop on down. It’s just £4 per session (£3 for under 16’s) and there’s no pressure to come every week, which of course we would love you too.
If you have any questions get in touch and we look forward to meeting you soon!
All the best,
Jamie & the members of Poole Juggling Club
