✨️ The new Sonic Mighty Revo 16K Max ✨️
We were delighted to be welcomed aboard the testing program for Phrozen 3D Printer latest release and I wanted to come and tell you all my initial thoughts!
If you've been here a while you'll know we have been long time Phrozen fans. We grabbed a couple Mini 8K’s in 2021 and couple Mighty 8K’s back in 2022. Since then we’ve also owned x2 Mighty 12K’s, x2 Mighty Revo 14K’s and x3 Mega 8KS. We have continuously owned these printers over the years due to the high build quality. It’s something we’ve long said just can’t be beat and this Mighty Revo 16K Max is no exception! 😍
Firstly, we’re very happy to see the Mega 8k holey build plate is gone. It felt like it made sense logically, but actually did cause us some issues. So goodbye to that and hello to this lovely new build plate! 👋🏻 Secondly, as soon as I removed the foam I was truly thrilled to see just how huge this vat is! I know they said it was going to be a 2 litre vat, but seeing it in person really made it clear just how big that is. We’ve used auto feeds a lot in the past and they’re necessary for big printers with small vat volumes… But they come with their own issues. I would much rather see huge vats like this machine has! 😎
This was also the first time we’ve tried out the camera feature on the printer and pleasantly surprised at the quality. We even got a neat timelapse from it, so as content creators this will definitely be a feature we use a lot. 🥳
We’ve never really been ones to faff around with calibration prints, so we ran a small bust as our test print. As you can see he came out lovely. We sliced the files with HD-AA and pleasantly surprised to see how good the quality is. We’re only part way into our first plate for a very big 520mm Jinx statue! Make sure you follow our socials for our full thoughts when we’ve had more time with this printer 👀
