Third and final day at the beautiful Buckfast Abbey Summer Fair and I finally got out first thing to see the Alpacas, who were “singing” Alpaca style, and one was called Hendrix! A great day out 😎

Anyone for tennis?

Another framed set of cigarette cards, this time on a tennis theme. A set of three cards issued in 1923 with Sarony ci******es with instructions on “How to play lawn tennis” This set of three cards goes through the various stages of the service stroke. They have a lovely black and white image on an olive green background. There is a little wear on the cards, after all they are over 100 years old, but this adds to their beauty.

Some time ago I found some reprints of Lambert and Butler cigarette cards originally issued in 1923 and they have been sitting patiently in my craft room alongside some fabulous little Tintin and Snowy cards which were included in bubble gum packs in Belgium in 1964.

I have now finally started to frame them and these are the first three frames and I love them!

I also have some fantastic tennis and football cards which will be next so watch this space 👀

I have a very busy August with a lot of craft fairs and these will be on show and hopefully find new homes.

So, today I am at Exeter Craft Festival on the Cathedral Green in Exeter “helping” my lovely and very talented friend Tracey from Luminosity Art.

It is the last day today so why not come and have a look around and pop into stand 109 and say hi!

There are lots of lovely talented local artists including some other friends Hannah Wisdom Textiles, Katy Stoneman Art and Jo at Second Wind and Rachael at Saffron Grove 💝

Today I am in charge of Sew & So Crafty in Glanville’s Mill in Ivybridge.

A fabulous independent local shop with a huge range of fabrics, DMC threads, Gutermann and sewing accessories 🧵🪡✂️

It is also supports local people like me by stocking our handmade items for unique gifts, clothing and homewares.

Pop in if you are in the area, there is so much to see 🌟

I have popped over to Lovingly Local in Saltash this morning to set up my new card stand which is now full with my cards for many different occasions, from birthdays and new babies to weddings and anniversaries.

This is a lovely little cooperative run by local makers and full of gorgeous items, worth a visit if you are in Saltash 💝
