Try our YA Book Chain with Central Library, a reading group for Young Adults reading Young Adult titles. 😊

To apply, send recommendations for two YA titles from our catalogue to [email protected]. Library staff will match you up with other readers (anonymously) and each member of the chain will take it in turns to read one another’s books and record what they thought on a comments sheet.

Once the chain is completed, the comments sheets for each book go to the person who recommended it.

During lockdown I created some artwork for this digital anthology which is raising money for female and non-binary comic retailers to stay afloat during the pandemic.

Its now being kickstarted into a real life book (270 pages by over 140 creators) and we’re almost halfway to our goal with 10 days to go! There’s loads of extra goodies available if we reach our goal too ✌️

Had the best time doing loose portraits of .fairhurst over FaceTime. We drank tea, chatted about loo roll and held random objects whilst drawing each other. Highly recommend as a wholesome activity if you’re isolating. I used a mixture of dip pen and ink, graphite pencil and Sakura coupy pencils (like a mix between pencils and crayons)

Had a fun fun time making this poster for (who are super awesome to work with!) and no one has to know that I spelt her...

Forgot to share the tiny zine I made for my talk back in December. It’s a 6 page slice ‘o life comic about being a single working parent and trying to find time to be creative in between parenting and work duties. It was so much fun to work on and it was good to fall in love with making comics again.
