Even with that little warping error that I can't unsee, I love this huck checker design I've patterned. Because I'll be sewing two lengths side by side to increase the width of the panels, it'll be fine for home:)))

This weave will be my pre and post work meditation for a short while :)

Warp is heddled ... But I've realised I missed a chunk of the warp pattern in winding the warp .. 0.5inch .. but quite honestly I don't really mind (๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜ณ) ... I have also noticed that the palette is very similar to an aperol spritz ... This makes me happy ... So I'm having one to celebrate the extremely hard work of heddling!!

Lovely to see the most gorgeous Tif today, and yesterday. What a treat :)))

Books read. Cats keeping an eye on something.

Tonight ... Buckets of popcorn and all my super lush teens & Si together for a film .. or sitting in the garden talking :)) or maybe both :))

A hot sweaty post work mess but the 10.5m sunshine warp is on for the Bronson lace curtains .. it's only 24 inches wide so won't take too long to heddle and reed up ... But that really is a job for another day :)))

Happy eyeballs evening :)

6am sun. Pre work warp ordering :)

16/2 cotton and hopefulllylyyyyyyy it's warped right for a cute little curtain check ... Or skirt or top .. it's 10m and quite honestly ... No idea until it's woven ... It has the potential to be almost anything clothy right now .... (Well probably curtains) :-)

In our tiny urban garden we have put sink to good use and finally made our pond... Mainly so I can hear water every evening and when we're in the garden :))) Soothes the soul and if everything survives ... Can be a watering hole for tiny creatures :)))

I am warping up for new studio curtains which will be a Bronson weave and knitting my janner Gansey ... But it's all rather slow in the lovely summer heat :)))

The weaving was going to be a top, then it was going to be a pinafore, but I decided to max out my dining room and add the slightly too short weaving as mini curtains to sort of soften all the tiny nick-nacs on this little but over stuffed cabinet (some may say a reflection of my brain; but definitely a reflection on how ready I am to have tea at any moment of the day).

The curtains absolutely don't match everything around it. ๐Ÿ˜

What an excellent day with Prof. Stephanie Owens and Dr.James Fox who talked with students about his new book Craftland.

From his website: https://www.drjamesfox.co.uk

James Fox is a Cambridge art historian, writer, curator and multi-award-winning, BAFTA-nominated broadcaster.

James fell in love with art at the age of eight and hasn't looked back since. The first person in his family to go to university, he graduated with a starred first in History of Art at the University of Cambridge in 2004.

After completing an MPhil and PhD in the subject, as well as stints at Harvard and Yale, James took up a Fellowship in Cambridge in 2011. He specialises in modern art, British art and craft, and the cultural history of colour.

He is currently Director of Studies in History of Art at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, Creative Director of the Hugo Burge Foundation and Director of Education at the Jeffrey Rubinoff Sculpture Park in Canada. He is also an Honorary Fellow of the Arts University Plymouth and President of the Friends of the Stanley Spencer Gallery.

Convinced of art's huge social importance, James works with museums, schools, businesses, charities and the media to engage broader audiences in this most life-enhancing of subjects

I did get my copy of The World According to Colour signed ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ ... What an amazing advocate for craft, colour and art!! Thanks James :)))
