A huge thank you to Dr Nancy Carvajar for a super workshop 'Human-Centred knowing to Life-Centred belonging: Reimagining research in a Living World's Hosted in the Psychology Dept at Plymouth University ... Thank you to Claudia Brandon for squeezing me in last minute, and Jason H for telling me about it!!

The workshop was absolutely fantastic, and Nancy shared strategies that have helped me reframe early questioning in the research design process to centre ancestors, future selves, and mother nature as part of the research design process; alongside thinking through embodied connection. My mind and heart are buzzing!!

Nancy is Colombian and with her kind invite, I will be visiting her, her university and students as part of my upcoming Bogotá/Colombia research trip in August (I'll do a speaky video post for that VERY EXCITING UPDATE SOON!)

Well would you look at this ... With the possibility of the weather improving, and maybe trips out on Dartmoor at the weekends, or road tripping somewhere ... And in the likelyhood of not being able to backstrap loom myself to a random tree, the little portable band loom is ready for those little trips away. (My branch loom is also unpackable!) I did need a bit of help from Simon to wind the 4m long warp (ready for Chumbe weaving), but that only took 10 minutes out of his tinkering with tiny electronics day .. .so super happy!! Instead of a warping board commonly seen with Baltic weaving, I've made some string heddles and it's warped with a DLDL middle section for patterning inspiration as I travel.

Summer tripping prepped .. when it does arrive!!

Right off to work .... I think I'm delivering a lecture on Writing for publications this morning .. then writing a proposal for a publication (ohhh lala!!)

We're nearly 4 months into our Sunday meets knitting thanks to the amazing and at . Many of the 40 knitters have finished, or nearly finished knitting their Gansey and we'll be wearing them at the Sardine Festival on Saturday 20th June, Barbican ... Of course I won't be quite finished, but happily knitting at the festival.

It has been the most incredible 4 months with beautiful people.

Even with that little warping error that I can't unsee, I love this huck checker design I've patterned. Because I'll be sewing two lengths side by side to increase the width of the panels, it'll be fine for home:)))

This weave will be my pre and post work meditation for a short while :)
