‘Before & After; Fragments of Origin’ explores cultural relationships with the natural world that existed before global extraction transformed ecosystems. The work considers what has been lost, what remains, and how these relationships might evolve as we look towards the future.
Works include sculpture, installation, film, sound performance and wall-based work. The exhibition will include intervention and performance.
Thank you to Gemma Girvan from Thelma Hubert Gallery for help with the selection process.
The exhibition features over 30 artists from CAMP membership.

‘Our world is falling apart quietly. Human civilisation has reduced the plant, a four-million-year-old life form, into three things: food, medicine, and wood. In our relentless and ever-intensifying obsession with obtaining a higher volume, potency, and variety of these three things, we have devastated plant ecology to an extent that millions of years of natural disaster could not.’
