Big news from the office, and we've been keeping it in for far too long! 🎉

The finals of the South West Care Awards are this Friday, 16th October, and Kintota are finalists in three categories.

Here they are:

⭐ The Mental Health Award
⭐ Care Team of the Year
⭐ Rising Star

Let's start with Rising Star. Our accounts manager Kelly is a finalist, and we couldn't be prouder of her! It follows on from our Registered Manager Lucy, who won Rising Star last year. So you could say it runs in the family!

What does it mean to be a finalist? It means somebody noticed the work our team does every single day. Supporting people with complex mental health needs, learning disability and dementia, and helping people get back out into their communities and live independently.

It's the whole team that makes it happen, from the support workers out in the community to the people in the office keeping everything running. We really are a family!

Thank you to everyone who has helped get us here, our staff and the people we support. 💚

We'll be crossing everything on Friday. Wish us luck!

What helps your mental health? 💚

It's World Mental Health Day, and this year's theme is "Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change."

For some people it's sea swimming, even when the water's freezing. For others it's karaoke, a good walk, a cuppa with a friend, or just a quiet hour to themselves.

None of these is the "right" answer. The right answer is whatever works for you.

Mental health is our specialism, and listening is where our support starts.
