My latest piece, another special one for Toby’s nan’s birthday 🤍

Inspired by a picture taken from a walk with tobers along the coast path and down to Porthmelgin - there was something about the light on the water and the view of Ramsey island in the background that made me feel connected to this one!

Another little finished one - my favourite view of Carn Llidi, from the sea at Whitesands bay. 🌊

This one is now framed, mounted, and in its new home after being sold at etc. gallery in St. Davids!

This one is super special to me, I’m glad someone loves it as much as I do. Again, and like usual, it’s painted from one of my own photographs in a very lovely moment during an after work sea swim.

My second doggy, and a very special Christmas prezzie for my boyfriends family

This piece was a bit of a test, and I was terrified I wouldn’t be able to capture him but I’m so so proud of how he came out. I only had a couple of weeks worth of evenings after work to finish him in time to travel to pembs and we did it! He survived the train journey and now he’s safely in his home again. 🤎

I’ve finally decided that this piece is finished ! She is now sitting in her new space in Etcetera Gallery in St. David’s.

For me it’s all about how a place makes you feel and how you experience it. I wanted this piece to reflect how it feels to be paddling in Whitesands Bay while looking up to the GORG silhouette of Carn Llidi. Because whether it’s paddling or swimming it’s most often my view of it. 🤍

Hand-drawn Pembs coastline 🤍

This lil one was inspired by a photo I took on a gorg coast path walk alongside Whitesands Beach towards Carn Llidi in St. David’s. It's a small glimpse of the natural beauty that makes the St David's coastline so special to me. As an artist, I can't help but be inspired by the charm of this coastline, and I hope this print captures a small piece of that magic.

‘Blue Horizon’

🌊 Introducing my latest piece of art - an A5 acrylic on chunky art paper seascape. The waves in this painting are so soft and inviting, you can almost feel the ocean breeze!

Slightly moodier than the others but I’m loving this palette. The shades and shapes of blue up close give it an almost abstract feel, but it's the perfect piece to add a touch of natural beauty to your space. If you're looking for a unique and captivating piece of art, this one is for you 🤍

A lil updated face behind the paint 🐚🌊

Wanted to keep a mini introduction at the top of my insta for new followers and members of this little artsy community I’m aiming to create as a little “hello this is me! And this is why I paint!” so this is that!

I’m Rahima, an artist based in Devon, UK. I’ve grown up around the Devon and Cornish coasts and that is where most of my inspiration is drawn from. I am creatively inspired by how these spaces make me feel! The aim is to share that feeling so everyone who has a piece of my art can carry that warmth with them and let it radiate in their space. My art is my way of sharing the beauty I see in the natural world, and sometimes in people, with hope that it may inspire you to feel something also. To notice the beauty in the details, in the shapes, and in the colours. 🤍

In essence, each piece contains a snippet of my worldview, of something I found beauty in and had to recreate through my own brain and hands. For me it reinforces that I lived it and I felt it and now that feeling can manifest as something physical that can be loved and shared.

That’s enough of me gushing over my favourite things, but I’ve always been a loon for artsy things and now I’m excited to share it - I work in Acrylic and Oil, and I love working on your commissions and from your photographs so send me an email or a DM if you’d like to discuss further! :)
