The Kirk Theatre The Kirk Theatre is run solely by volunteers, the operating company and resident Theatre company is Pickering Musical Society.

The Kirk Theatre is supported by many volunteers who contribute time and effort into the continual day to day running of the Theatre. Our Operating company and resident Theatre company is Pickering Musical Society, who purchased the building over thirty years ago and have been based here ever since. All tickets available via our website www.kirktheatre.co.uk or visit the box office which is open Tuesdays 11am - 1pm.

This weeks's cinema at the Kirk Theatre is the 2026 British historical drama directed by Celyn Jones - the perfect way to end the summer.

It tells the true story of Henry Paget, the flamboyant 5th Marquess of Anglesey. Inheriting an estate in 1890s North Wales, he shocked elite society with his theatricality, gender-defying performances, and his decision to squander his multimillion-pound fortune before dying at age 29.

Spread the Word - if you loved the opening night of our Noël Coward double bill as much as us, help us let everyone know that there are still TWO more opportunities to see it... TODAY!

The cast will be back today at 2.30pm and 7.30pm to dazzle us. A massive well done to them for last night's extravaganza. It was so much fun!

The first half is a r***e introducing the legendary stage partnership and lifelong friendship of Noël Coward and Gertrude Lawrence, with songs by Coward, Gershwin, Cole Porter, Kurt Weill and Rodgers & Hammerstein.

After the interval, it's time for the hilarious short play 'Red Peppers', featuring a feuding husband and wife in a corny song & dance double act, in the dying days of music hall.

We're on countdown to OPENING night on Friday...

Take a trip back to the 1930s of Noël Coward and Gertrude Lawrence in this first co-production between Scarborough’s UK Foundation For Dance and Pickering Musical Society, a double-bill of Coward’s comedy, wit and music.

It's time to meet another member of the cast! Bert Bentley: he's grumpy, but with good cause! Come and watch the Red Peppers for yourself and see if you agree.
