Following up from playing here in Oundle as part of Blazin' Fiddles we are pleased to bring Anna Massie back to perform a solo set at Little Ember Sessions on Fri 24th April in the Westgate Suite of the The Talbot Hotel.

Equally at home as accompanist or melody player she is one of Scotland’s foremost guitarists. As well as being a skilled multi-instrumentalist and singer renowned for her work with Blazin’ Fiddles and RANT, she also presents BBC Radio Scotland’s award-winning flagship trad music programme, Travelling Folk. (Trad Music in the Media, Scots Trad Music Awards 2023).

Three-time nominee for Best Instrumentalist at the Scots Trad Music Awards, 2021 winner of the Trad Music in the Media award for her Black Isle Correspondent work and 2022 Producer of the Year award, Anna is a highly talented musician, presenter and producer.

2024 has seen her release her long-awaited solo album Two Down and embarking on solo touring throughout the year and into 2025.

Honoured to host this momentous occasion in Oundle

A New Day Book Launch with Howard Rankin as Solstice Play Oundle - Support from Leoni Jane Kennedy

Solstice will launch their new book, A New Day: The Sia Trilogy In Photographs, by Howard Rankin on the first night of their Spring tour at the Queen Victoria Hall in Oundle on Wednesday, April 8.

"Howard's stunning photography has captured numerous moments over the last few years and, for this gorgeous book, has curated his favourite Solstice images," says guitarist Andy Glass. "There's a forward by Greg Spawton of Big Big Train. contributions from Jerry Ewing, Martin Kielty and Oz Hardwick and quotes from both the famous and infamous."

Rankin will be holding a Q&A and signing before the music begins in Oundle. The book will be available at the April shows and via our website after the Spring Tour.

Findlay Napier is one of Scotland's finest singer songwriters. In 2018 he was the first solo act to be nominated for Live Act of the Year at the Scot’s Trad. Music Awards. Described as Micheal Marra meets Elvis Costello, a Caledonian Loudon Wainwright III or a Scottish James Taylor this master storyteller's songs are full of earthy humour, hopeless love and biting satire.

For over 30 years Ivor Novello award winning Boo Hewerdine has been considered one of the UK’s finest singer-songwriters. As lead singer of seminal band, The Bible through to his subsequent solo work and long-time collaboration with the incredible Eddi Reader he has become something of a national treasure. He is in demand as a writer, producer and performer. Over a hundred of his songs have been covered by the likes of KD Lang, Kris Drever, Chris Difford, Duke Special and Hannah Rarity.
