Many thanks to everyone who came to listen, to play and to help out at another sell out concert on Sunday 12th July at Crowland Abbey. We couldn’t have done it without everyone working so well together. The music was great. It was all great. We were all great and Charlie our maestro was great. Is three greats enough to describe the afternoon. Let’s do another one…….o’h, we are, Yaxley Royal British Legion on Sunday 29th November. See you there!!

CONDUCTOR’S QUOTE OF THE WEEK.

We were rehearsing music which depicts a painting; a work of art. It’s title is Ballet Of The Unhatched Chicks. Imagine if you will, little hen’s chicks, cheeping and jigging inside their eggs, enthusiastic to break out, to see the world outside the confines of their shells.

Sunday 3rd May, a dozen members spent an hour entertaining visitors to Uffington Scarecrow Festival, near Stamford. A great big thank you to flute Sue Illingworth for leading the group and to Karen Gibbons for her photos from the viola seat.
