🔵 Members of Peterborough's Bengali community joined together to celebrate the Durga Puja festival at Ferry Meadows on Sunday.

🔵 The gathering was the culmination of three days of festivities, which celebrates the triumph of the Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura.

🔵 Hundreds of people joined Sunday’s procession, which followed a beautifully carved sculpture of the Goddess Durga through the park to the shore of Lynch Lake, where it was ceremonially anointed.
