Perth Festival of the Arts is a vibrant celebration of the visual and performing arts, connecting leading artists from around the world with the rich cultural life of Perth each May. With a contemporary focus and a long-established tradition spanning 50 years, the Festival inspires, entertains and

enhances the lives of its ever-growing community through an exciting and dynamic programme of events that promote and develop the city. As well as bringing established and international performers to Perth’s impressive cultural and historic venues, we take pride in discovering and providing platforms for new and emerging artists in Scotland. Some of the artists who have performed at the Festival in recent years include Bryn Terfel, Nigel Kennedy, Lesley Garrett, Nicola Benedetti, Van Morrison, The Proclaimers, Lewis Capaldi, KT Tunstall, Jools Holland, Sharleen Spiteri, Dara O Briain, Richard E Grant, Paul Merton, Nina Conti, Julian Clary, The Magic Numbers, Calvin Harris, The Waterboys, The Stranglers, Richard Hawley, Courtney Pine, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Ann Sofie Von Otter, Elaine Paige, John Williams ... and many more.

What an absolutely unforgettable few months it has been. From world-class headliners and breathtaking choral harmonies to the energetic debut of our brand-new Jazz Weekend, the Fair City has been alive with creativity, passion, and community spirit.

While we are officially back this July for a very special headline evening with Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, the main festival run has officially come to a close.

A massive, heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who made this year so spectacular: our phenomenal artists, our funders, local businesses, the brilliant venues, our tireless volunteers, and - most importantly - YOU, our incredible audience. Your energy made every single performance magic.

We love a local band at and this one is a new favourite! Hailing from Perth, Time Stands Still is a band with the uncanny ability to play around genres within the boundaries of evocative songwriting and electrifying instrumentation.

Their first release promises a sonic journey where raw Springsteen-esque emotion blends with thunderous heavy riffs.

See them live tomorrow at The Twa Tams on stage at 6pm.
