Last but most certainly not least in our 'Meet the Cast' posts is Lynne, taking the role of crime novelist and erstwhile sleuth Agatha Crusty (pronounced Croosty) in our show starting at the T.I.C.C. in Newburgh tonight!

Agatha's visiting the otherwise quiet village of Chortleby to spend time with family member Alice, in between writing her popular novels. She wasn't expecting her holiday to end up with her finding herself in the midst of a series of unexpected deaths, or to come into contact with Detective Inspector Twigg again...

Tonight we have another duo of performers for our 'Meet the Cast' series: Julie and Rachel who are both playing Isabella (Julie on Friday 3rd and Sunday 5th and Rachel on Saturday 4th July)!

Isabella is the lady of the house at Chortleby's pub (or 'hostelry' as she prefers to describe it), The Ferret's Head, and the village's leading culinary light, running the cookery club at the church hall. Will her cuisine help identify who is responsible for the growing body count, or will it leave more than a bad taste in her mouth?

Our next ‘Meet the Cast’ duo are both playing Maisie Grimm, cleaner at the village hall and many other homes in Chortleby, who has some secrets of her own as well as apparently knowing a lot about the village goings-on. Maisie will take the role on Friday 3rd and Sunday 5th July, with Mary performing on Saturday 4th.

Tonight we have a duo of cast members for you to meet from our upcoming production of Derek Webb's "Agatha Crusty and the Village Hall Murders", coming to the T.I.C.C. in Newburgh on Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July 2026.

First we have Elizabeth, who is playing Alice, friend of famous crime novelist Agatha Crusty who is visiting her in Chortleby when the murders begin. She's as alarmed as her neighbours by the sudden dark turn for their otherwise quiet village.

Next we have Dianne, who takes on the role of Mandy. Mandy is a model, invited to pose for the village's art class, who ends up being cast in Chortleby's upcoming panto (provided Eleanor is happy with her performance!) and part of the group who help Agatha and DI Twigg unmask the killer!
