Im super excited to announce that I am taking part in this year's Perthshire’s Open Studios.
I would be even more excited if you can make it to my preview night. If not it will run until
13th September so plenty time to come and say hello.

🖼 This year’s Perthshire Open Studios takes place from 5th - 13th September, when talented artists and makers living and working across Perthshire open their doors to the public. It's a great way to find their work, engage with them and perhaps see demonstrations of their skills and crafts too.

👋 This year there are eleven Perthshire Artisans taking part, and it would be lovely if you could visit them in their own spaces, chat to them and find out more about what they do and why they do it. They will be ready and waiting to welcome you!

Sincere apologies if any has been trying to get hold of me and you haven't heard back. I'm very old school and don't have WiFi in my house I rely on my phone and tablet for my business needs and unfortunately 02 are doing essential maintenance work so I am unable to do my usual posts or answers emails unless I take a trip up to the Glendoick bus stop to get signal from the Dundee mast. It's such a nuisance especially since I'm meant to be resting. This weekend my work is at St Paul's in Kinross. It's a lovely little art festival that they do every year. I won't be there in person but it's well worth a visit. Runs today and tomorrow from 10am until 4pm. At the moment I am planning my autumn workshops with lots of amazing felt makes that you will want to try. I will post dates soon. From Halloween glow pods to peg doll fairies and Christmas baubles it will all be happening. I hope you all have a lovely weekend, with love Wendy 😍❤️

🌌 Wendy Farquharson is a textile artist working as escape textile art who uses a combination of wet felting, hand stitching and machine embroidery as her 'painting technique' to create vibrant and evocative land and seascapes. This weekend sees an exhibition of her work, 'Wild Skies and Silent Stones' at St Paul's Church in Kinross.

Go along and spend some time exploring the creativity which is right here on our doorstep.

Wow, what a way to spend our morning. It truly was a fabulous workshop. This was my Feel Good Pod, Wellbeing class. We explored colours and textures that had meaning to us. We all know that creativity gives us permission to slow down and this workshop did that. We learnt how small moments of creativity can bring us comfort and joy.
