🪩Morgan McWilliam 🪩
Morgan McWilliam is an award-winning Scottish dance teacher, choreographer, and the Vice Principal of the Sharon Gill School of Dance and lead coach at its sister organisation, the Aberdeen Cheer and Dance Company (ACDC).
Born into a dancing family as the daughter of principal Sharon Gill, Morgan has trained for over two decades and established herself as one of the most prominent figureheads in the North-East Scotland cheer and dance community.
Career Highlights & Achievements:
World Champion Choreographer: In April 2026, Morgan reached the pinnacle of her coaching career by choreographing the winning routine that crowned the ACDC Youth Lyrical team as All-Star World Champions in Orlando, Florida.
Prior to that, in 2022, Morgan was part of the choreography team for Team Scotland and trained the first ever youth hip hop team to a silver medal at the ICU worlds, Alongside competing with the Scottish national senior hip hop team and was part of the National All Abilities Pom team who took home Scotlands first ever gold medal in 2022.
Award-Winning Soloist: Before shifting her primary focus to instruction, she won countless competitive medals and trophies, including the prestigious SDTA Juvenile Tap Champion title at just seven years old.
Performances: She has danced on major stages, including performing with the Scottish Ballet in Hansel and Gretel, and appearing multiple times with the entertainment company Pro Excel at the British Grand Prix, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and London's Excel centre performing alongside Ella Henderson. Not only this, but Morgan was also a dancer in a scene in the most recent India Jones movie; Indiana Jones and the stone of Destiny.
Community Recognition: Her impact on local sport and dance earned her top honours at the Aberdeen Sports Awards, being awarded 2023 Young Coach of the year. Morgan was also runner up in the Young Coach of the year in the Heart and Soul fitness awards in 2025.
Coaching & Expertise
At the Sinclair Road studio hub in Aberdeen, Morgan handles daily school administration alongside an intensive teaching schedule. She is highly qualified across multiple regulatory bodies, holding credentials as a Level 3 BCA, BGU, and ICU coach, as well as an official ICU cheer and dance judge. She also worked her way to advanced exams in tap, ballet and modern under the ISTD.
Morgan oversees competitive choreography for both the school of dance and ACDC across pom, jazz, lyrical, and hip-hop as well as other genres such as ballet and acro. Her leadership has helped put Aberdeen competitive dance on the global map, providing elite training while fostering a tight-knit, supportive "dance family" environment.
Her weekly schedule sees her teaching and assisting at the school 6 days a week pupils from aged 18 months to advanced level.
Morgan knows exactly what it takes to be up on that stage having grown up in the 'dance festival' enviroment having competed in all styles as a young dancer from the age of 3 and continues to this day to perform and compete at senior and open level both in the UK and abroad and was part of ACDC's open Jazz team who placed a highly credible 6th at the 2026 All-star Worlds in Orlando, Florida.
