ONE WEEK COUNTDOWN⏰✨
Our Elf auditions are one week today and we can’t wait to see you! We’ve received a few of the same questions so here’s a little Q&A for you👇
“Where is Elf set? Do I need an American accent?”
Yes! Elf is based in New York so it’s imperative to have an American accent-doesn’t need to be perfect. We have plenty of rehearsal time to practise!
“I only want to audition for ensemble, what does that involve?”
Ensemble need to familiarise themselves with the dialogue available in the principal audition packs. You’ll more than likely be asked to read for characters on the night! You don’t need to learn the songs. Everyone will
learn a song and a dance on audition night!
“What is the commitment like?”
Depending on your role we ask you be available two nights a week-Tuesday and Thursday during the summer, more than likely changing into a Wednesday and Thursday from September. Some Sunday rehearsals will be included but you’ll be given plenty of notice for these. We’ll ask you to fill out an availability form at the auditions. Once casted a full rehearsal schedule will be made.

Here’s the key information👇
⏰We ask everyone to arrive promptly for a 7pm start
💃Wear something comfortable to move around in-we will be dancing!!
📖 In preparation for the audition we ask you to choose one character to show us how you can sing and act! We recommend being familiar with all the audition pieces available-you DONT need to be off script just familiar! You’ll most likely be asked to read for several characters on the night! Unless specified otherwise our creative team will consider you for other characters!
🕺We will all learn some choreography together on the night (let us know if you have dance, especially tap experience!)
🎶 We’ll also be learning an ensemble song altogether!
🎭Make sure you fill out the registration form so our team can see what roles you’d like to be considered for- whether that’s a principal or ensemble!
If you are not able to attend auditions don’t worry!!

Please choose a piece of music to sing,
and perform the texts for your chosen character. If you have any dance experience, please also tell us about it on your video!
