🌞 Newlyn Summer Fair – Sports Day & Live Music 🎨🏆 what's happening tomorrow:

🎺 Live Music – Newlyn Green

Penzance Silver Band will be playing on the green in front of the gallery from 13.00 - 14.00 🎶🥁

🏃 Sports Day – 13.45 - 15.00

The Sports Day will begin at 13.45 with an egg-painting activity 🎨🥚 before the races start at approximately 14.00.

📣 Pasha as MC

PASHA will MC the Sports Day 📣 to keep everyone entertained and guide participants through the races. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🎉

🎨🥚 Egg Painting at 13.45

Visitors can decorate their own egg by painting Pasha’s face onto it. 🐶🎨

A table for the egg-painting activity will be set up on the green. 🌳🎨

🏆 The Races

1. 🥚🥄 Egg & Spoon Race
Participants race while balancing their Pasha-decorated egg on a spoon.

2. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Relay Race
A fun team relay race for participants to race against each other. 🤝🏁

🌦️ RAIN OR SHINE, THE SUMMER FAIR IS ON! 🎨☀️

The forecast may be looking a little ‘Cornish’ tomorrow, but don’t let that put you off! Our Summer Fair is going ahead as planned. 🙌

We’re moving the Makers’ Market to inside the gallery and under some covers - so you can browse and shop from fantastic local artists and makers while staying dry. We’ll also do our best to go ahead with as many other activities as possible, weather permitting.

Fingers crossed the forecast improves! 🤞

🏆 Trophy making with Tea, Cake & Art! 🎨

Today was our final trophy-making session with our wonderful Tea, Cake & Art groups — and what an incredible job they’ve done! Over the past few weeks, our two Tuesday groups have worked hard to create these brilliant handmade trophies, ready to be presented to the winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at this Saturday’s Sports Day. 🥇🥈🥉

Taking place as part of our Summer Fair this Saturday at Newlyn Art Gallery, Sports Day starts at 14:00 on Newlyn Green, with retro games and races for all ages. Come along, get involved and see who takes home one of these very special trophies! 🏃‍♀️🥚🐟

Tea, Cake & Art is a chance for older people in our community to meet regularly, get creative, make friends and connect through art. 💛 We’ll be raising funds throughout the day to help keep this important group running next year and continue creating a space for people who may otherwise feel isolated.
