Hi All,

We started our community fundraising appeal in June this year as we needed to secure the 20ft shipping container to provide a secure and dry home for the light fittings. Thanks to your very generous support that has been achieved and the shipping container will be with us shortly.

We now need to start fundraising for repairs and possibly extra festoons / fittings if funds and volunteer time allows.

As many of you know it’s essential that the St Just Christmas Lights are stored securely in a dry place when not in use.

We are delighted that Geevor Tin Mine Museum has been hosting some of the Lights for us in a small shipping container but thanks to ongoing events and yellow tin collections the St Just Christmas Lights Group are about to complete the purchase of a 20ft shipping container so all items can stored together at Geevor for the first time. This is a significant step forward and will make planning much easier

The Group now have to raise the final £190 to complete the sale.

To All Hosts,

Do you have 1 of our yellow collection tins. We would like to collect any cash in them to help us finish paying for a 20ft shipping container the St Just Christmas Lights Team are buying to store and keep the lights safe and dry when not in use.

We are currently £242 short.

A massive thanks to all those who came and bought from us and a big thank you to the Market Traders. In total we raised £336.23 which is an amazing amount in such a short space of time.

We now only need to raise another £242 to complete our purchase of a 20ft secure shipping container to keep the lights safe and dry when not in use.

Huge thanks to the volunteer organisers, those who donated prizes and those who took part in last night’s Prize Bingo evening at St Just Old Town Hall which raised a whopping £327 towards the St Just Christmas Lights Fund.
