"Crazy in Love" solo from yesterday's wedding!

'52 telecaster putting in work here, with the Enigmatic and D&M boost side running into the effects return of my V40.

May have done a thing... has a lot to answer for.

All jokes aside, adding belly/forearm contours to this '52 Tele has turned it from a bit of a boat anchor to an absolute speed demon.

"Fast" guitars with skinny bodies tend to have small necks; now I get to have a more comfortable body without sacrificing the fat 'U' shaped neck.

10/10 would recommend.

New IEM day!

Our bass player got a filthy new sub that resulted in my current in-ear monitoring solution being pusher louder and louder to hear any clarity in my IEM mix. So, time for new IEMs that provide better isolation.

I have used:

- No earplugs (stupid)
- Foam earplugs (bad)
- Custom earplugs (great, but no click)
- Cheap pro headphones (Shures, Ew)
- Expensive in-ear headphones (no isolation)

Finally, it's time for some 'adult' IEMs from . These are molded to my ears (moulds expertly created by ) and should perform a much better job of protecting my hearing.

First chance to perform with these is this coming weekend, but I'm impressed with the fit and isolation I've experienced testing these at home.

If you're a pro musician, look after your ears!

Want double tracked distorted bass in your choruses, but didn't record any double tracked distorted bass?

Simply copy takes from different choruses and edit them together to create your "double tracked" bass take!

Adding a stereo room reverb, or delaying one side helps to increase the phase difference between the two and drive them wider apart. Extreme settings will make it sound like they're coming from outside your speakers.
