New pieces from all of us and a new space, The Salthouse Gallery in St Ives just behind the Sloop pub and opposite the Society of St Ives . We’ll be staying open into the early evening and I’m there every day but Tuesday.

‘Daphne’ has been a bit of a visitor favourite this week. The frame was a bit if a find in a local framers and adds a lovely weight to her.

If you are in Falmouth today or tomorrow, pop in to the Poly to see the Prime Women exhibition. Over 100 pieces from 30 artists exploring the notion of ‘Still life’. The hang is particularly good and I’m delighted with how my 4 pieces are presented. At the PV , I was thinking ‘I’m sure I had a fourth piece here somewhere’… then someone said…. It’s at the entrance. …. and there she was … ‘Lounging Banana’, a happy fruity welcome.

I’ll be invigilating this evening from 5-7.30pm if your wanderings bring you this way! Prime Women Artists Poly Falmouth

I’m in the Proper Cornish Stuff shop today in Truro. I have a few pieces on the wall and am trialling my framed mini abstracts on a shelf. It’s a great venture Ian has going here; rent a shelf for your Cornish made crafts / wares and pay a small commission on each sale or do a day in the shop. It’s on River Street, Victoria Square end.

The ritual of a morning hair pull back to see what the damage is on my face. When I painted this one I was royally fed up with the relentlessness of facial eczema. I didn’t realise that it had turned into something else. The seemingly random hot red, swollen open wounds had evolved into TSW and this was a bad full on flare up. The battle to mitigate its impact continues. I hope one day to look back on this image and know that I won’t have to reluctantly face my face the next day.
