Swamp Circus started as a collective of traveling acrobats, clowns and ecologists in the 1980s. Always working with the local community, the company has designed projects widely in the UK and in over twenty counties worldwide. Swamp Circus have toured big top and large-scale theatre shows in the UK and Europe and work with a large number of corporate clients in venues such as NEC, New Wembley Stad

ium and GMEX. All profits from Swamp Circus go to the charity Swamp Circus Trust. Swamp Circus Trust-
A charity focused on using circus skills to improve the health of young people, especially those most in need. That is health, in terms of health body mind and environment. in an age of sedentary, square-screen occupations, more and more young people are becoming overweight, and doctors are increasingly seeing early instances of back problems, diabetes, and depression in young people. Circus training offers non-competitive fitness, fun and new skills for all abilities. Circo Kernow
Established in 2002 as a project of Swamp Circus Trust. It is a training provider offering accredited training and work experience, to those aged 16+ who are out of work and out of education. It also provides workshops and courses for younger age groups, offering specialist, accredited, vocational training and work experience. Although we mainly work with young people, there is no upper age limit and our oldest graduate so far is 58.

France is burning, the guillotine is busy, and Marguerite Blakeney is stuck in England with an idiot husband, a man so relentlessly foolish, it’s starting to feel strategic…

However when ruthless revolutionary Chauvelin – head of the French Republic’s Committee of Public Safety, with a very loose grip on the word “safety” – threatens her brother’s life, Marguerite is dragged into a world of spies, secrets and very sharp blades. Critically acclaimed tragi-comedy, SPLIT ENDS follows the story of a woman who falls in love with a Vacuum. Using physical theatre, puppetry and multi-media, this ‘Sarah Kane Rave’ explores control and abusive power disguised as love.

In an exploration of coercive control, love and the addiction to people who hurt us, this five star production which is “as raw as they come…sheer inventiveness” (LouReviews) attempts to understand when we are meticulously in control or incredibly out of it.

In the concrete courtyard of a crumbling Soviet tower block, an old woman sits with her memories.

A young woman stands before an endless, shadowed forest. She carries her talisman, her mother’s gift from years ago. Behind her, the world is burning. Ahead, she risks darkness, hunger and death.

But at the boundary between worlds, there is wisdom to be found – or bargained for.

Talisman is a theatre show set in the forests of Western Russia during the German invasion of 1941-2. It is a weaving of traditional Slavic wonder tales with historical narrative, raising questions of morality, resilience and the nature of Home. At the heart of the show, the wisdom of Baba Yaga invites us to look at the choices we might make, when all good choices are gone.

Using puppetry, light and shadow, music and storytelling, Talisman is an evocative and visceral piece of theatre by three highly skilled artists, based in the South West.

Big thank you to everyone who took part in our Half Term Circus Club!

It was such a joy to share the space with you all, and we hope lots of fun was had, friendships were made, and new skills were discovered.

If you’re keen to keep the circus going, we run a weekly Circus Skills Club every Thursday during term time, 5–6pm at The Old Gym, Falmouth School.
