Happy Monday! Here's what's on at BlueJam this week.

BlueJam Street Beats are looking forward to a particularly busy weekend. On Sunday they'll be playing at Cold Springs Bottle Shaking during the parade at 1pm at the nature reserve. All attendees will be encouraged to collect sweets to add to a bottle just like the Victorians did in order to celebrate the water - and nature - at Cold Springs. There will also be willow-weaving workshops, nature-based arts and crafts and wildlife themed games organised by Cumbria Wildlife Trust.

Afterwards, Street Beats will be heading to Cumbria's Big Brass Weekend with Drum and Brass at Brougham Hall where, at 3:45pm, they will be playing in the Fiesta Finale. Drum and Brass have organised a whole weekend of brass themed activities in celebration of Cumbria's superb brass band culture - check out the programme on their website.

We had a fantastic time at Penrith May Day on Monday! Below is a little recap of our Ceilidh. It was wonderful to be joined this year by four fab young players and to see so many people of all ages trying out the dances. 💃🎻

Penrith May Day, here we come! 🤩💐

We are excited to be performing alongside BJamba, Eden Dance, Penrith Town Band, Stomping Ground, and Milnthorpe Steel Band on Monday, 4th May! A whole host of events have been planned for the day, but the below is where you can find us and when.

We’re also looking forward to seeing Upfront Puppet Theatre's Green Men and Greystoke Primary School's flying birds, amongst other amazing puppets at the parade 🎉
