Responsible morph breeding

The vast majority of reptile morphs are healthy, but a small number of genetic traits and combinations can cause health and welfare problems.

REPTA's evolving Deleterious Genes Policy identifies morphs and genetic combinations currently considered unsuitable for breeding or sale.

Our latest resource explains what deleterious genes are, highlights affected morphs, and looks at how responsible self-regulation can improve breeding and welfare standards.
