EQUINE ENTRANTS🐎🐎🐎‼️

If your equine packs don't arrive today, as long as you have your e-tickets, everything else can be collected from the Horse Cabin on the day. Gate A passes can be emailed out for printing or shown at the gate on entry.

The Frustrated farmer is coming to the Pen*stone Show

We're excited to welcome The Frustrated Farmer to the cattle section this Saturday, where he'll be judging the British Blonde classes!

A Peak District farmer, butcher and big supporter of British farming, he's well known for his straight-talking and entertaining farming content.

Come and watch the judging and say hello.

Tomorrow's the Day!
The marquees are up. The rings are ready. The trade stands are arriving. The final preparations are happening. And the volunteers are super busy.

Pen*stone Show is TOMORROW.
After months of planning and a huge week of work from our volunteers, those fields are almost ready to welcome you.

From 8am, there'll be livestock and horses, vintage vehicles and demonstrations, food and drink, music, countryside activities, competitions, shopping, children's activities and entertainment.

Come early. Stay for the day. Explore the whole showground.

ASK STANLEY - IT'S TOMORROW
Morning. One more sleep until Show Day!

Stanley's here with a few of your last minute questions to help get to the show and through the gates tomorrow.

How do I get to the show. If you're driving, use your sat nav to get to Pen*stone, but once you're close PLEASE FOLLOW the show signs. They'll direct you to the correct car parks and help keep traffic moving.

What about parking. It's FREE. Our stewards and volunteers will be there to help and point you in the right direction.

Can I come by bus or train? yes. Pen*stone has both a bus and railway station within walking distance of the showground. Check your journey before setting off.

Already bought your ticket? Here's an important one. DOWNLOAD your E-TICKET BEFORE you leave home. Have it on your phone ready or print it out if you prefer.

Not bought a ticket yet? There's still time. Discounted tickets are available online until MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.

Bringing the dog? Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a non-retractable lead but please remember that they can't go in the marquees. You can enter the dog show and dog bale jump on the day.

And finally. We're an agricultural show held on grass, so please wear appropriate proper footwear. The ground is good underfoot.

Fancy a little show day refreshment?
With a whole showground to explore, there comes a point when i'ts time to give thi' feet a rest!

Head over to the bar, grab a drink and soak up the atmosphere. And if you're visiting as a family, there are children's activities nearby too so there's plenty happening to keep everybody occupied. Thank you to Myers Building & Timber Supplies for supplying the sand for the sandpits.

Then suitably refreshed, you can head off and discover what else you haven't managed to see yet! Open from 8am until dusk, there's a lot to fit in.

It wouldn't be the Pen*stone Show without a packed sheep section, especially as Pen*stone is home to the Whitefaced Woodland. A native hill breed with its roots firmly in the local landscape.

Make sure you take a wander over to the sheep rings to see what is being shown and judged throughout the day. Make sure you cheer on our Young Handlers too. It's fantastic to see the next generation getting into the ring, showing their sheep and putting their skills into practice.

ASK STANLEY - First time at Pen*stone Show?

Morning! Stanley's back with today's question.
I've never been to Pen*stone Show before. What should I expect? First of all, A lot!

Where do I start? There's no right or wrong way. Look at the showground map, have a wander and explore. Don't just stick to one area. The show spreads across three fields, so make sure to explore them all.

What should I make sure I see? That's the difficult bit as there's so much. From the animals, through to competitions, vintage vehicles, food, shopping, music, demonstrations, bars and entertainment. The best bit is discovering things as you wander.

How long should I allow? Make a day of it. We open at 8am and finish at 6pm, with things happening throughout the day.

Stanley's top tip for first time visitors. Take your time. Explore the whole showground and watch something tha's never seen before.

There's loads for the kids to do.
Pen*stone Show isn't just about watching. There are plenty of opportunities for our younger visitors to get involved and have a go.

And even better there are lots of children's FREE activities going on too. Check the timetable for further details on these.

We've got activities and entertainment happening around the show, including circus skills, Amazelab's rocket workshop, countryside activities, sandpits, craft activities in the handicraft and homecraft tents, food crafts, mini rovers, Madame Zuccini's vegetable workshops, Fenn's Den Forest School and so much more.

Come for the animals. Do the activities. Make a full day of it.
