This Bristol native (now decamped to the Centre of the Universe Midsomer Norton) cut his Dj teeth in the warehouse parties of south Bristol, rubbing shoulders with the Wild Bunch in their pre-Massive attack days, and members of Laid Blak, while all the while vying for deck time! He’s a specialist in soul, boogie and house, with a vinyl collection to back up the hype! Another day, another great Dj announcement! Introducing DJ Danno! This Norton legend first developed a love of Soul, Funk and House music back in the mid 80's, with a vinyl collection that started growing exponentially after attending numerous soul weekenders in Prestatyn and PwIlheli. Inspired by the early 90s raves scene and mixtape culture he bought his first pair of Technics 1210 turntables in 1994, and played his first live set with the infamous 'Farm Yardeez' collective. This turned into a regular slot at The Wunder Bar in Midsomer Norton, playing Drum & Bass, and appearances on Pirate Revival and Bath City Sound Radio. With an ongoing penchant for good Soul, Funk and Disco tunes too, Danno has continued to play local venues and parties on a strictly vinyl only basis!
