Today someone was asking for someone to make memorial jewellery for her.
There are so many people who offer a service with resin as the casing for the cremains here it the advice on what you can’t do whilst wearing resin based memorial jewellery. The list is extensive. If you want your piece to last 5-10 years then choose resin. If you want it to last to the end of your life and beyond, choose glass and silver. .. Overview

Resin memorial jewellery is highly sentimental and requires delicate handling.
Care instructions typically advise keeping the piece dry, avoiding direct sunlight, and steering clear of harsh chemicals.
Because resin is water-resistant rather than waterproof, proper maintenance is vital to prevent yellowing, warping, and damage to the metal settings.Key Care Instructions
Water ExposureKeep it dry:
Never submerge your jewellery in water.
Remove before bathing: Always take it off before showering, swimming (especially in chlorinated pools), washing hands, or doing the dishes.Avoid steam:
Keep keepsakes away from steamy environments like saunas and steam rooms.
2. Heat and SunlightAvoid prolonged sun exposure: Store pieces out of direct sunlight. Extended exposure to UV light can cause the resin to soften or discolour (yellow) over time.Watch the temperature:
Keep away from hot radiators, stoves, fireplaces, and hot cars. Temperature fluctuations can cause the resin and metal to expand and contract at different rates, leading to microscopic gaps.
3. Chemicals and CosmeticsAvoid harsh substances: Keep the resin away from perfume, hairspray, hand sanitiser, body lotions, and sun cream. These can react with the resin and cause it to cloud, scale, or break down.Harsh cleaners: Never use acetone, rubbing alcohol, or abrasive chemical cleaners.
