The stage has been cleared, Miss Prisim has been reunited with her handbag, Lady Bracknell returns to her never ending social circle, Algie has killed off Bunbury, Merriman the butler has sought another position and everyone can live happily ever after. Such is the aftermath of The Importance of Being Earnest.

We all worked very hard to bring it to you and are looking forward, not only to finding something else to do on a Wednesday evening, but to regaining a Sunday morning lie in.

Then of course there's yourselves. You bought tickets, you came out, bought raffle tickets and gladdened our hearts with your support. For that we express our appreciation and say a massive thank you.

Work is going on in the background to decide on what the panto will be and as soon as the decision is made we'll share it with you. Rehearsals will start around mid August and you'd be welcome to join us either on stage or backstage, just get in touch at [email protected].

Cast and crew are hard at work on our next production, 22-24 April at 7.30pm, to bring you Oscar Wilde's 'The Importance of being Earnest'. We are also delighted to tell you that, courtesy of the Pathhead and District Community Association, the brand-new stage curtains will open on our performance.

Well, that's it for another year. The pirates have promised to be nice, so maybe Santa might visit them, and the ladies of the W.I. have decided baking demonstrations are a bit too messy. The lights and wires are gone. The scenery is nowhere to be seen, and the stage crew are still nursing sore backs.
The audience on Wednesday night must have been bemused and confused by the appearance of a rope dangling in the middle of the stage. Well it was near disaster as it is the rope for opening and closing curtains. Catastrophe was averted, the offending bit was cut off, and they were dragged back and forth by hand.
We hope that those that came along enjoyed it as much as we did. We can't exist without you buying tickets, raffle tickets and using the tuck shop so our sincere thanks for supporting us.
Discussions are already under way for the next panto in 2026 and don't forget that the play will be on stage in April.
As ever, we are always looking for folk prepared to go on stage and, even more crucially, fresh hands backstage.
Drop us a line at [email protected] we's love to hear from you.
