My record label Base2 Music is 10 years old this year! Here is a blog written on the www.NativeDSD.com site that sells our music high resolution downloads. https://www.nativedsd.com/news/following-the-sound-celebrating-ten-years-of-base2-music/

Base2 Music news. YES! ANALOGUE VINYL! Our second Vinyl LP is underway. A Piano album of composer Erik Satie, his Gnossiennes and Nocturns is being produced by me, with pianist Mahya Mhr. We recorded direct to RTM Tape at 15 ips. The tape recording, entirely an analogue signal chain was hand edited using old razor techniques and was transferred to the cutting lathe to make a 'lacquer' disc, which will be metallised and a stamper will be pulled from it (1 step), this will be used to make the pressings into vinyl. Here is Noel Summerville at Studio 33/45 in Peckham, cutting the lacquer from the tape. He goes through the complete process. We cut at 45 rpm, for maximum quality. The tape is 1st generation, so not a copy. Look how a record is made!
