Kent show 2025 beltex reserve champion with touchwood kiwi berry a daughter of Bessybell hurcules and touchwood elderberry (a luggsmill lainey granddaughter) also had first with our aged ewe touchwood Hattingley valley a 1776 grand daughter so all in all smiles all round

🚨 Beltex Premier Sale Bluetongue Update 🚨

Update: Harrison & Hetherington have proposed a contingency plan for the Premier Sale in August, as bluetongue restrictions, to come into effect July 1, would impact cross-border attendance at Borderway Mart, Carlisle.

The proposal allows all members of the Beltex Society, irrespective of region, to market their stock at one sale, but at two uniquely close locations - Borderway Mart, Carlisle and Lockerbie Mart.

📍Lockerbie Mart - Show and Sale
🗓️ Thursday August 14
- Vendors: Open to consignors from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, or from Scottish holdings
- Purchasers: Stock is free to travel throughout mainland UK

📍Borderway Mart, Carlisle - Show and Sale
🗓️ Friday August 15
- Vendors: Open to everyone adhering to bluetongue regulations
- Purchasers: Stock can freely move throughout England. Stock can only travel to Scotland or Wales if pre-movement tested and travelling on a specific licence.

Pre-sale shows to take place on the morning of each sale.

Inspection TBC - likely to be between 3pm and 6pm the day before each sale.

I didn’t get much chance for photos last Sunday but we had a cracking day at Cranleigh festival of food and farming.
