I'm just a gal who battles anxiety, appreciates art history, has a dark sense of humour, and loves to create. Channeling my anxieties into design and art helps me stay mindful and, hey, itβs cheaper than therapy. Iβve launched Idle Hands Dark Mind as a repository for my digital creations, ready to share with the world. My designs blend classic beauty with a modern filter, and all are available as
digital, downloadable art print files. Digital, printable art is a budget-friendly, DIY-inspired way to decorate your space β whether you are looking for that one perfect print for a feature wall or you are working to build or add to a gallery wall. Perhaps something created with my idle hands from the corners of my dark mind will bring your space a bit of eclectic, quirky charm. XOXX
Here's a few more trivia bits about me:
> I work as a freelance writer and communications strategist when I'm not designing
> I'm an American expat living outside Glasgow, Scotland with my Scottish husband (living my own Outlander dream)
> I chose the pug life. We share our lives with wee Mabel, a black pug
> I'm a maximalist and I own that (literally, like, I own a lot of cool stuff because there is joy sparking all over my flat)
> I love junkin' and tray-sure hunting at flea markets, antiques stores, and charity shops
> I collect vintage taxidermy and skulls/antlers
> I actually did study art history at Uni and some of my personal favourite artists are: Henri Matisse, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Edward Hopper, Joseph Cornell, Jean Dominique Ingres, Elisabeth Vigee Le Brun, Sir Thomas Lawrence, and Albert Bierstadt
> I love interior design and am always playing with different ways to feather our nest. My home can best be described as a pleasing mash-up of Eclectic Boho meets Dark Academia with heavy lashings of Victorian quirk and a touch of Palm Springs desert deco.
