The AmDram Community of Glasgow is saddened by Morag's sudden death. She was one of the best-loved front-of-house team members and a great helper within many theatre groups in the area.
Even though Morag didn't help at Stardust she will still be remembered as she would always be seen helping at many shows around Glasgow from Pantomimes to Musicals etc. She was also a great talented lady who loved to perform with these groups.
It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of our loyal, devoted and talented friend, Morag Dingwall. Morag was a member of EROS Musical Society for 50 years, receiving her 50th recognition last year. She book-ended her on-stage career with EROS in The Sound of Music, playing Frau Schmidt in 2023. Her talents shone on and off stage, singing in our concert party - even singing Christmas songs for a local group 3 weeks ago, Front of House for us and many other local companies, for being on our committee many times, most notably as Secretary, keeping us going as our tea lady, and our wardrobe mistress several times, making costumes and keeping everybody right! She was even knitting us scarves for our current production while she was undergoing treatment - she will be on stage with us! An absolute super trouper and one of the strongest women we will ever know. She will be a huge loss but she would want the show to go on regardless.
