🫗OI! Fancy meeting other artists/creatives and supporting each other to get things done?

Well we’ve got just the thing!
For only 1 hour of your time a month and maybe a few quid to keep the biscuits going (only if you’re able) you too could join the scope commons

We’ll be meeting up on the third Monday of each month and open to all creatives at all stages that want to muck in together to achieve something truly FRUITFUL 🍊

🍋‍🟩 What the meet up is - A chance to meet other creatives (let’s face it being an artist sucks when you’re doing it alone).

🍋 We’ll be focusing on collaboration and supporting each other to create sustainable practices/ opportunities - what that looks like depends on you and what your needs are - it’s all about what creatives require.

The first commons takes place

🍋‍🟩Tour the Abbey House Social Services Building and see the working studios of 20+ artists/makers

🍋‍🟩Take part in a drop in sculpture or screen-printing workshop, even both if you’re up for it and at absolutely no cost and no need to book!

We said we would and we did: OPEN CALL

🍊 Buzzing to be back with a really lovely opportunity for you all! Would you like your work featured in an Outdoor art exhibition as part of the Cycle Arts Festival?
The setting for this showcase is right next to a stunning historical waterfall that opens up onto a bridge and is part of the art trail organised over the weekend of 13th-14th of September.

Any and all art forms are accepted (inclusive of video/film/music/sound) with the only restriction being each work can be no larger than 60cm x 60cm as all work will be transported by bicycle 🚲 🍋

We have been busy invigilating the annual creative showcase and it’s going amazingly with over 600 people visiting so far!

We want to take a moment to thank each and every person who has supported us and continues to do so by passing on word of the show, putting their time and efforts into helping us.

Art for us is about working to build genuine relationships that support the evolution and sustainability of Creative lives in Renfrewshire.

The Scope Creative Showcase 2023 is GOING AHEAD and we have new dates/times

The new date and time for the Scope Showcase day opening will be:

On Saturday the 21st of October

From 2pm - 5pm

At scope, unit 4, 15 Central Way,
Piazza Shopping Centre, Paisley

After all of the pause on this show we are so looking forward to showcasing the brilliant work of some amazing local creatives!

We hope that you can make it to join us in celebrating the skilled and diverse range of creative talent right here in Renfrewshire.

🍋 we have some sour news 🍋

Due to the ongoing electrical work preventing power to our space and the unreliable information from the centre regarding an access date - as a collective we have been forced to postpone the 2023 Creative Showcase and will not be rescheduling a new date for this until we know exactly what is happening with the power to our space.

🍋 We would appreciate all of your support while we are 'waiting it out', and rest assured the artwork of some amazing local talent is being stored safely until it sees the light of the Piazza Shopping Centre and the curious eyes of the paisley/renfrewshire locals.
