A Gathering Thread A Gathering Thread is a temporary art installation, residency, and performance in the heart of the Paisley High Street.

Throughout June and July 2020, Alis Le May will create a garment in the window of 25 High Street, using vintage thread spun in Paisley.

I'm back in today after more than month away working on a film in Dumfries and Galloway.

It's great to be back to complete this piece which will be on display at 25 High Street until a new use is found for the space.

The garment is taking shape and it's my penultimate day in the shop for the A Gathering Thread project....for July.

The project was planned to complete this week but I'm pleased to say it will be continuing until the end of September!

This means that the current garment will be exhibited for all of August (while I am away on another project) and I will return to create more garment(s) in September! I'm thrilled that I am extending my residency on the Paisley High Street and looking forward to sharing more of the work I create through September.
