✨🏰 My heart is so full … 🏰✨

To every single one of my wonderful Phoenix Dance children…

Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

At the weekend we took part in Paddock Wood Carnival. It wasn’t just about dancing. It was about seeing each and every one of you grow in confidence, support one another, smile through every moment and show the world exactly what Phoenix Dance is all about.

You walked proudly through the carnival, waving, smiling and spreading so much happiness before taking to the stage and performing with such passion, confidence and joy. Watching you all together filled me with so much pride that it’s difficult to put into words.

As Winnie the Pooh wisely said, “How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”Days like Sunday remind me just how lucky I am to be part of your journey.

There were moments when I looked at you all and thought of the words from Peter Pan: “All it takes is faith and trust… and a little bit of pixie dust.” ✨ Today you believed in yourselves, trusted each other and created your own kind of magic.

Walt Disney said, “If you can dream it, you can do it. ”Every rehearsal, every time you practised at home, every encouraging smile you gave a teammate led to today. You earned every clap, every cheer and every smile from the crowd.

But what makes me proudest isn’t just how brilliantly you danced. It’s the people you are.

You cheered each other on. You waited patiently. You showed kindness. You looked after one another. You laughed together. You represented Phoenix Dance with the most beautiful manners and the biggest hearts.

That is what makes Phoenix Dance so special.

Please never stop believing in yourselves. Never stop being kind. Never stop lifting each other up. And never forget that every single one of you brings something unique and wonderful to our dance family.

As Moana reminds us, “The call isn’t out there at all, it’s inside me.” Each of you has something incredible inside you, and I can’t wait to watch you continue to grow and shine.

Thank you for making me laugh, making me emotional, making me beam with pride and reminding me why I love what I do so much.

I hope you know just how proud I am of every single one of you.

You didn’t just perform….
You created magic. ❤️🔥✨

This years ‘United In Dance’ team smashed it yesterday performing with other dance teams from Leigh Academy’s at Mascalls. I’m so proud of how professional they were, their positive attitude and how they came together as a team to pull it out of the bag after not practising the dance for a few months. Legends!

Still reliving these precious moments.

Each dancer showed up building confidence, self-expression, and a love for performing, all within a positive and uplifting atmosphere. They fought back nerves and worries and completely smashed the performance bringing sass, style and shone brighter than ever. Im so proud of what each dancer has achieved.

So last week we did a thing, it was epic and I’ve spent the whole week processing the smiles and shear joy of it all!

Thank you all so much for your overwhelming support.

What a great community we have built all together with our little superstars at the heart of it all.

I couldn’t do it without you all.

Wearing green is the international symbol for mental health awareness. It shows solidarity with those who struggle, helps break the stigma, and creates a safe space for open conversations. During dance this week we joined the Mental Health Foundation and wore green for mental health awareness week.

It’s so important to keep the conversation around Mental Health flowing with our young people in a positive, safe environment. Everyone deserves good mental health.

Your mind matters 💚

Dear Phoenix family,

I have an extra special one off class I would love to share with you all.

There is an inspirational lady I am honoured to know who is taking part in the Macmillans South Coast Mighty Hike Full Marathon. Her name is Nina and she tells her story and journey below -

"*I’m finally taking on the South Coast Mighty Hike on June 13th, pushing my limits to raise £250 in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

My WHY?

My mother passed away of breast cancer when I was only 3 years old. I never got the chance to say goodbye to her, nor did I get the chance to grow up with her love, guidance and nurturing.

During my teenage years and early adolescence, I lost my grandparents. Cancer was a cause again.

Then in 2008, when I was 25, my father passed away of lung cancer. I didn't make it home in time and again I couldn't say goodbye.

I have friends who are still fighting the illness and I am in awe of their strength.

Cancer has been present in my life for as long as I can remember.

In 2013, I ran the London Marathon and raised money and awareness for 'Children with cancer'.

13 years later, on June 13th, I am attempting another marathon length to raise awareness and funds for Macmillan.

Today, almost 3.5 million people in the UK alone are living with cancer, a figure that's growing steadily. Macmillan’s goal is to be there from diagnosis through every step of the journey.

If I can do anything to help, I will!
If my late mama, my late papa, my late grandparents, friends, strangers,....can endure chemotherapy, the life changes and pain - then I can walk for a day!!!

Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference.

THANK YOU! x "*

Please join me tomorrow, the 8th April, 10am to 11am at Putlands for dance and fun to support Nina and raise money for this amazing charity. All money raised will be added to Nina's sponsor page and go to Macmillan, even Putlands have given the hall time for free. Link below to classmanager to register interest, no payment via this, just so I can get an idea of numbers. Bring your £6 cash on the day and get ready to have some fun all for a good cause. Spread the word as anyone can attend, not just Phoenix Dancers, even if they haven't registered interest beforehand on class manager.
