CALL TO ACTION!
The planning application for Puy du Fou in the UK has now been submitted and you have the opportunity to provide your support on the Cherwell District Council Planning portal (details below).
We have compiled a number of points which can all be substantiated in the planning documents - please feel free to use these as a buffet from which to make the points closest to your heart.
Please do tell your friends who might be in favour but haven't joined the group to do so too.

Puy du Fou Benefits
Economic
• GBP 600 million investment into the local area
• Creation of 2000 direct and 6000 indirect jobs
• Significant amount of Cherwell residents have to commute out of the area - with the range of jobs provided by Puy du Fou, more people could remain locally - reducing their carbon footprint

Public amenity
• Bringing a multi award winning destination to the area
• Provides a unique cultural experience of theatrical shows and history
• Majority of buildings will use natural, crafted and locally sources materials
• Improvements in bridleways in accessibility and maintenance
• Great amenity for people of all ages - entire families
• Fantastic amenity for schools - bringing history to life
• Could be an introduction to both history and the theatre
• Provides a very accessible attraction - very flat and wheelchair friendly
Sustainability
• Very much in keeping with the environment - 20,000 trees to be planted, 40 acres of species rich wildflower meadow and an additional 5 miles of Hedgerow
• Will create the largest new forest in Oxfordshire in a generation
• Significant increase in biodiversity
• Keeping the views of the countryside by ensuring that any views of buildings outside the park resemble farm buildings
• Building Bunds which will in fact improve the views from most perspectives
• Majority of buildings will use natural, crafted and locally sources materials
• Improvements in bridleways in accessibility and maintenance
Traffic
• Puy du Fou will fund new road interventions and will monitor and manage access. Remedial work will be paid for by a % of car parking receipts
• Shuttle buses provided from other towns for employees
• Creation of more cycle paths to bring people from Bicester safely
• Pre-booking so visitors numbers controlled
• Opening hours to avoid network peaks
• Working with Chiltern Railways to ensure any new timetables are related to the arrival/departure patterns of visitors
• Will open after Chiltern Railways have added to their new rolling stock of longer trains, increasing their capacity
• Will contribute to funding improvements at existing train stations to support additional capacity
• Access thoroughly tested with OCC, inc safety and design audits.
