It's eight years to the day since AUDIOSCOPE13, when we brought Califone and Esben and the Witch to Oxford to help us raise money for Shelter, with a stellar supporting cast including Pet Moon, Pye Corner Audio, Tomaga and loads more. Were you there? ❤️

Nightshift Magazine is - and always has been - an essential part of the Oxford music scene, so when it calls for help, we all need to answer.

Please, if you can, donate to help save Nightshift and keep this vital part of not just Oxford's music scene, but the UK's independent music scene alive:

We're really sad to hear the news that Will Mecum, guitarist and founder of Karma To Burn, has passed away.

Karma To Burn headlined Audioscope in 2011 on their first visit to Oxford with a mind-blowing set of massive riffs - in many ways the heaviest band we've ever had at the festival, and Will and the rest of the band were passionate to support our battle against homelessness. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

It seems these days the Audioscope page only chokes back into life when there's bad news - and there's bad news. Our beloved city centre venue The Wheatsheaf, where we've promoted, played and seen so many amazing shows over the years, is under threat of being turned into student accommodation.

Oxford without this vital hub of the music scene is unimaginable - please take just five minutes to head to the comments section here and register your objection to these heinous plans: https://public.oxford.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=QO7O89MFMNH00&fbclid=IwAR2Ao1yb_a-f6ylzLXD0_exzfiWFeF6JcaH4HCIOaIWvj6qaNg8FhZYX-Bw

The Cellar [Oxford] is a much-beloved venue of Audioscope in the heart of Oxford - and it's in danger of being forced to close next month, unless we can all come together and do something to help.

We've promoted many shows in this amazing venue, as well as performing in bands there and attending countless shows over the years. Please support their important fundraiser:

Without essential building work the Cellar will be forced to close this December after 38yrs of live music. Here's our chance to change this

We're really happy to say that the 2017 edition of Audioscope has raised £1,000 to help Shelter's essential work fighting homelessness. This takes our total raised for the charity to more than £32,000 since 2001.

As you know, Audioscope isn’t just about the music.

Every penny of profit we’ve made since 2001 has gone directly to help homelessness charity Shelter’s incredible work all over the UK - and we’re incredibly proud that with your help we’ve raised well over £30,000 to support them.

All over the UK - but particularly visible in our home city of Oxford - homelessness is a problem that only seems to be getting worse, but Simon and I have seen first-hand the amazing work that Shelter do.

We’ve visited some of their project work and seen how they help families not just find housing, but find a long-term place they can call home - a basic right for all of us.

Every single ticket bought to this year’s festival will help Shelter’s fight against homelessness, as well as giving you a day of incredible new music from right across the UK and beyond.
