Are you interested in how the pandemic has impacted motherhood and identity? the Three M'others play based in Oxford is coming to you this May 30th and 31st! Funded by Oxford University, join us to watch a compassionate, sometimes funny and moving play about motherhood & the real-life experiences of first-time mothers during lockdown. We are happy for babies to join & have a matinee night just for that.

ABOUT THREE M'OTHERS
Written by academic Antonia Mackay, as part of her research into the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on new mothers, funded by Oxford University and in collaboration with Human Story Theatre, this unique play offers an insight into the up till now, invisible effects of the digitisation of maternal healthcare. Performed by Oxford Brookes Drama students and based on research with mothers who gave birth during 2020 and 2021, Three M’others affords a glimpse into the real, lived experiences of women as they embarked on their maternal journeys in the face of a global pandemic.

NOTE: Following the show’s final performance on the 31st of May, there will be a panel Q&A with experts including Professor of Sociology Tina Miller, Oxford Brookes Babylab and playwright, Dr Antonia Mackay.
