Hello everyone!
We just wanted to spread the word that The Oxford Hub is holding the Students Supporting Street Kids Oxford Conference 2016 in WEEK 3 and the numerous talks, workshops and projects will be themed on "IDENTITY" (which is also our theme this term!):

On Monday 9th May (3rd week) from 3-8pm at the Oxford Hub Students Supporting Street Kids (SSSK) will be holding our first ever Oxford conference to celebrate the International Day for Street Children. Expect speaker events from both NGOs and academics, creative workshops and a photo campaign. Talks, workshops and projects will be themed on 'Identity'.

This is a free event but voluntary donations are welcome. All donations will go towards furthering our NGO partnerships directly working to improve the lives of street children around the world.

For our fellow QUEEN'S students (JCR & MCR), check out this Addison Soc event coming up, very relevant for y'all pretentious film connoisseurs (DEADLINE FOR SIGN-UPS TODAY):

You've finished collections, life is good/finals are approaching and the Addison Society has got just the thing for you - a night with film director James Kent on the 3rd of May (Tuesday of 2nd)! James is a Queen's alumni, ex-editor of the Isis Magazine, and since graduating has found fame, directing critically acclaimed films such as last years 'Testament of Youth' which starred Alice Vikander (The Danish Girl, Ex Maxchina) and Kit Harrington (of Game of Thrones fame). It's going to be a brilliant evening with a really interesting fella, perhaps you want to get yourself an elusive job in the film industry once you leave these hallowed halls, maybe you're a big film buff, maybe you like the sound of a night off with great company food and wine?

This is our last dinner of the year so we expect a big turnout, sign ups are on a bit of a tight turnaround though this time so email [email protected] to sign up by this sunday, or grab one of the first come first served spaces THIS SUNDAY at 6.30 by coming to either FQ 5a/7 or the first floor landing of Florey. This sunday - got it?

Good News!
We're back and bigger and better than ever! The Queen's College Film Society will be restarting this Trinity Term 2016 with an exciting range of films whilst keeping in touch with our Foreign Language film roots.

The theme this term will be 'IDENTITY' as we explore different forms of self starting with the darkly comedic

'Wild Tales (Relatos Salvajes)'

Directed and written by Damián Szifron. This screening will be FREE and open to all! After our first screening, each screening will be £2 entry or £5 Membership for life!! Showings will be in the Shulman Auditorium, The Queen's College on Sundays and Tuesdays. Have a look at our Termcard for more info!

The 1st screening will be on Tuesday 1st Week 8pm. Event to follow shortly. Look forward to seeing you all there!
