Lincoln College Chapel Choir

Hello all!

We are currently recruiting for the Lincoln College Chapel Choir. We are looking mainly for sopranos and basses to join us for this coming term and/or for our tour this year all over France, including concerts at St Sernin Toulouse and Evreux Cathedral.

We are an ambitious choir with a high standard and enviable low commitment and flexibility for those who can not give up a lot of time but still want to make high quality music together.

Our rehearsals are on Wednesday 6pm-7:30pm, and our weekly service is on a Sunday evening with a free dinner afterwards.

We offer free singing lessons with our amazing teacher, Ben Davies.

I have attached a screen shot of our tour repertoire to whet your appetite and to give you an idea of the music we are doing in our upcoming services this term.

There are so many reasons to be excited about this CD. These include:

- A world premiere recording of Jonathan Dove’s "Treasures in Heaven".
- A UK premiere recording of Castagnet’s monumental "Messe Salve Regina" (with two organs!!)
- An interpretation of Duruflé’s Requiem using an authentic French symphonic organ.
- The organ of Église Notre-Dame-de-France had just undergone major restoration by the time of our recording, meaning it sounds the best it has in decades. This is the first time the instrument has been used to accompany a commercial CD recording.
