I'd like to invite you to share stories of your ancestors with me at The Old Fire Station, Oxford on Wednesday 25th August, 1pm-4pm.

Since the release of our short film 'Don't Forget Us' a letter to my female ancestors, I've really enjoyed hearing other's responses to the theme of . Everyone had something to say! So I have the urge to share and collect these stories into a something collaborative, through this workshop.

You might like to explore your genetic ancestors or your spiritual ancestors, or the wider concept of ancestry- whatever it means to you!

'Don't Forget Us - A Letter from my Female Ancestors'

Holly and Lydia started working on the visual storytelling project back in summer 2020 with the help of Peer Productions and the wonderful Motherline Collective. Now we are thrilled to say we have been commissioned by Arts at the Old Fire Station to develop it as part of their Lights Up scheme.

It's a bit of a shift change from Planet B's usual work, but don't worry, we're still going to be highlighting injustice and telling unheard stories.

Same people, same values, different project!

The final piece will be launched on 31st March on the OFS's website, but we hope to share project updates and teasers here throughout the month so keep an eye out!
