The follow-up work to the acclaimed q***r solo theatre piece RIOT ACT is coming to the Burton Taylor Studio!

Presented by HIV and AIDS charity Mulwade, RIOT ACT 2 contains three brand new monologues on LGBTQ+ activists featuring:

⭐ Dr Joseph Sonnabend, one of the first people to ‘discover’ the AIDS virus
⭐ Jonathan Blake, one of the first people diagnosed in the UK
⭐ Ignacio Labayen De Inza, whose work supports community members affected by chemsex

Join us in the sharing of this exciting, moving, and life-affirming new work ahead of its forthcoming UK tour with the foundation.

Important Information: For those attending tomorrow's production of Venus & Adonis (Wed 17 June), the city centre is expected to be very busy, and road closures will be in place.

Due to the Oxford Union Society debate, the following roads will be closed:

📍 St Michael's Street from approx. 4pm to pedestrians and vehicles
📍 Queen Street from approx. 4pm with buses and taxis following diversions
📍 Cornmarket Street to vehicles
📍 Market Street to vehicles
📍 Ship Street to vehicles

Due to these road closures and increased police presence, travel and transport routes may be busy or disrupted. Please plan ahead and leave plenty of time for your journey.

If you had planned to drive into the city centre, we recommend using a Park and Ride service instead of parking in Oxford.

📣 Cast Announcement of August Wilson’s Fences 📣

Our associate partner Headlong returns to the stage with one of America's most influential 20th-century writers, August Wilson's landmark play, Fences.

This vital new production is directed by the award-winning Daniel Bailey (Red Pitch, West End), starring:

⭐️RAY FEARON (Othello - RSC, Fleabag - BBC, Coronation Street - ITV). Ray is an award-winning actor who has worked extensively on stage and in television and film. He will be playing Troy who has cheated death once, but the past is closing in...

⭐️ MADELINE APPIAH (In The Long Run - Sky, The Winter’s Tale - RSC, Tina Turner The Musical - West End) will be playing Rose, holding the Maxson family together.

⭐️ MICHAEL AHOMKA-LINDSAY (Choir Boy - Theatre Royal Stratford East/Bristol Old Vic, Cabaret - Kit Kat Club, Playhouse Theatre) will be playing aspiring jazz musician Lyons.
