Paul Flannery is a professional musician. As well as playing and singing, Paul tunes and repairs accordions, melodeons and pianos.

Paul has been working on free reed instruments for almost 30 years now. Since training as a piano tuner, in the 70s at the London college of furniture, he transferred his skills to melodeons and accordions after moving to Yorkshire.

2 or 3 voice melodeons can be tuned to dry, swing or faster tremolo to suit the player. Likewise the note layout on the keyboard can be customised (within certain limitations). Changes to the basses and chords are more involved but not out of the question.

Revalving and rewaxing often gives an instrument a new lease of life.

For accordions, again tremolo and musette tunings can be adjusted to suit the customer.
