WAS provides a stimulating environment where students are encouraged to take risks in their work and are supported in their continuing professional development through a programme of critical and practical teaching, delivered through tutorials, projects, workshops, collaboration, networking and talks.

Established in 2013 this successful and innovative one day per week course has been created to fill an ever-increasing need for artists to further their practice outside of formal education. The Warehouse Art School (WAS) is a non-accredited course run by artists for artists and offers an affordable alternative to formal Higher Education courses. Visit the Wellcome Collection and Hogarth House, 25th June. Meet 11:00 at the Wellcome Collection

Following the success of our earlier gallery trip in February, Art-Sauce is planning another visit to London. We will be visiting the Wellcome Collection exhibition, followed by Hogarth’s House, on Thursday 25th June. We will meet at 11:00 am at the Wellcome Collection exhibition.
The Wellcome Collection exhibition The Coming of Age explores experiences and perceptions of ageing from adolescence to later life and asks how societies can adapt to help us all age better.
The building is on Euston Road, and the nearest station is Euston Square (Circle, Hammersmith & City, and Metropolitan lines). We will meet inside the exhibition entrance at 11:00 am and there will be an opportunity to pick up lunch either there or nearby. We will then take the train to Turnham Green, followed by a short walk or bus ride to Hogarth’s House, where we can see a selection of Hogarth’s prints and learn more about this remarkable painter, engraver and satirist. If you only want to join us at Hogarth House, we expect to be there around 3:00pm.
This will be a relaxed and thought provoking visit, a chance to see interesting work, catch up and share ideas together. Everyone is welcome to attend either or both parts of the day.
There is no charge for the exhibitions, but participants will need to make their own travel arrangements. Please book in the usual way on the website so we know how many people to expect. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch by replying to this email.

Bring along work at any stage of completion, from seed idea to fully realised, or just come to give feedback on other artists’ work.
