Anneka Shelley Music
The Woolpack Music & Art Studios 1pm Sunday 7th July
£FREE/PAYF

Anneka Shelley’s haunting voice and thoughtful lyrics combine to create a very enjoyable listening experience. Often supported by her 5-piece band, she evokes heartbreaking emotion in anyone watching her while still performing a driven set with a blend of downtempo and upbeat songs. The addition of a violin to her performing band makes her performance even more unique and interesting to watch.

At just 19 years old, Anneka has performed in several venues all across Leeds, such as The Lending Room, Wharf Chambers, and Oporto, along with her recent headline gig at Hyde Park Book Club. She studies BA Songwriting at Leeds Conservatoire and is fully immersed in songwriting, whether alone or collaboratively.

She grew up in West Sussex, where she first began making music at 14, busking in her hometown every weekend to make an income. Anneka went on to study Music Performance at the Brit School from 16–18, where she was able to hone in on and improve her skills while also making friends and industry connections for life. Upon arriving in Leeds in September 2023, she immediately formed a band to help perform her songs, performing for the first time with her band in October 2023.

Anneka is constantly working on new material and bringing it to her band, as well as producing her own demos to share online and with other people. She is currently working on an EP, which she hopes to release in September 2024. She regularly posts on social media, mainly Instagram and TikTok, on both of which she is becoming increasingly popular.

Artist Spotlight

Lucy Robinson
The Woolpack Music & Art Studios 2pm Sunday 7th July
£FREE/PAYF

"My Indie-folk-pop choons are for fans of: Maggie Rogers, Hozier, HAIM, Fleetwood Mac. I write introspective lyrics and soulful melodies laced with a subtle humour. Tales of love, loss, society, technology and the lovely little messy journey of life. Upbeat, buoyant and captivating! Named "a compelling new force in Irish music" and a "serious one-to-watch" by Hotpress Magazine.

My music has taken me around the world, from busking on the streets of Australia to being flown to Dubai to play in the Expo 2022 and representing the UK by winning the Ed Sheeran / Lowden Guitars “Take the Stage Competition” was such a dream.

I’ve played at various venues in Leeds, Belfast and across the globe, including Live at Leeds, two sold-out headline shows at The Domino, Vinyl Whistle, a headline show at Hyde Park Book Club, and provided support for Rebecca Vasmant at Headrow House, Dilettante at Oporto, Stephen MacCartney at Fealty’s in Bangor, and Graeme James at the Black Box in Belfast. I also had my own BBC Mixtape and artist feature on FLUX FM Berlin".

We can't wait to welcome Lucy Robinson to Otley Live! Check her out on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/

Flat Moon
The Woolpack Music & Art Studios 5pm Sunday 7th July
£FREE/PAYF

Flat Moon are a psychedelic-funk band from the UK. Their message is simple: it doesn't matter how you look, where you’re from, or what you do - Flat Moon are here to get your head boppin' and body groovin'.

They utilise a strong rhythm section and a powerful sax/guitar lead combination to create big riffs and catchy hooks that compliment their cynical topic material choices. Their unconventional sound has been described a mixture of funk, punk, jazz and psychedelic rock.
