You can now book your tickets for the first play of our 2026/27 season, ‘The Full Monty’ by Simon Beaufoy.

Join us for a trip back to Sheffield of the early 90s, where a mis-matched group of unemployed steelworkers decide to turn their hands (and other things…) to an unconventional solution for their money problems. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll cheer but don’t forget - you can always leave your hat on…!

ONE WEEK TO GO… until tickets go on sale for the first play of our 2026/27 season, jon Tuesday 1st September!

Attfield Theatre presents ‘The Full Monty’ by Simon Beaufoy, directed by Debra Watson. Set in 1990s post-Thatcherite Britain, we follow 6 out-of-work steel workers. Best friends Gaz and Dave are reduced to stealing scrap metal; meanwhile, their old foreman Gerald pretends to go to work every morning so his wife won’t discover he’s been unemployed for 6-months. When Gaz falls behind with his child maintenance, he hatches a desperate plan to make quick money by forming a stripping troupe with Dave, Gerald and 3 other local men: Lomper, a depressed introvert, the ironically named ‘Horse’, and Guy, who can’t dance but has other qualities!

As we are expecting this to sell out quickly, we have added an extra performance. The play opens on Saturday 26th September and then runs from Monday 28th September to Saturday 3rd October 2026. After a brief but welcome summer break, we’re well underway with planning for our 2026/27 season - in fact, rehearsals for the first play started 3 weeks ago!

We kick off with ‘The Full Monty’ at the end of September (Sat 26th then Mon 28th Sept to Sat 3rd October). Our pre-Christmas production will be ‘Bleak Expectations’ in December (Mon 7th to Sat 12th December). We open 2027 with ‘Same Time, Another Year’ in early March (Mon 8th to Sat 13th March), and close out the season with ‘Dirty Dusting’ in May (Mon 17th to Sat 22nd May).

It’s going to be a hot one again this weekend so why not pack up a picnic, slap on the SPF and join us in Cae Glas Park for a Cinderella themed singalong 🎶🎵

You’ll find us by the bandstand at 2pm and 4pm this coming Saturday and Sunday - we look forward to seeing you there!

Our Storyteller and her singers are busy warming up to entertain you in Cae Glas Park next weekend. Bring a picnic, warm up those vocal cords and join us for a Cinderella-themed singalong in the sunshine!

Performances will start at 2pm and 4pm, next to the bandstand, on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July.

Our theatre may be taking a short break over the summer but that doesn’t mean our performers are!
Come and join us on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July for a Cinderella themed ‘Singalong in the Park’. Performances will be at 2pm and 4pm on both days, by the bandstand in Cae Glas Park.

We’re at the halfway point for ‘Sheila’s Island’, the final play of our 2025/26 season. It’s been enthusiastically received by our audiences and there are still a handful of tickets left for tonight, Friday and Saturday. So come along and join Pennine Mineral Water Company’s finest as they tell truths, air dirty washing and attempt to survive an unexpected night on an island in the middle of Derwentwater!

Just under a week until opening night of ‘Sheila’s Island’, the final play of our 2025/26 season. This very funny play by Tim Firth sees Sheila, Denise, Julie & Fay stranded on an island in the middle of Derwentwater following a slightly disastrous start to their work team building event. As they struggle to keep spirits up while waiting for rescue, personalities clash and deep-seated tensions are released…

‘Sheila’s Island’ runs from Monday 18th to Saturday 23rd May, curtain up 7.45pm. Tickets are available from our box office on 07455 113511 or via www.ticketsource.co.uk/attfield.

The Pennine Mineral Water Company are holding a senior management team building event in the Lake District and Team C - Sheila, Denise, Fay and Julie - are confident they’re going to win. Unfortunately, they didn’t reckon with Sheila’s questionable orienteering skills and Denise’s complete lack of interest in actually being part of the team! But it’s ok because Fay has spotted a rare gyrfalcon and Julie’s got some sparklers…
