From Conor:

We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have raised a monumental £14,220 for Larry Lowe Music in his search for effective medical treatments.

When thinking of raising money, I didn't want anyone to "donate", so we put on a cracking lineup in the hope that people would come and pay to enjoy a fantastic night of music, and they did. So to each and every person that bought a ticket or paid in on the night, thank you immensely.

With so many to thank, I will try and get to them all.
To Matt McGlinn for his technical wizardry, who ultimately shouldered a lot of the work in the lead up to the event and even more so on the night with his flawless Stage Management. A cool and calm customer like no other. A joy to work alongside.
Also working close by was the wonderful Emma Miller and her wicked skills on the oul socials and her "big" ideas. (IYKYK)
To Stephen Doherty for his supremely generous offer and to Mick McIvor, Gerard Casey and all the staff from InnBar Group for helping raise such a substantial amount.
To all the door-staff who donated their time and made sure everyone had an amazing night in a safe space, thank you!
Huge thanks to Conor Sally at Omagh St. Enda's GAA (along with the Dodge City legend Mark Nelson) for their help and support throughout the day and night.
To the folk in the WhatsApp group who represented their bands,
Niall Donnelly (FreeRider), Niall Moore (Turkey Shack), Nevin Colton (Cool hand String Band), Andrew Dolan, Piero McGartland, James Lowe (Other Sound), Ronan Mullan (Big Ro & The Frooties) for volunteering themselves and their band to give up their valuable time for free, and for putting on a show like no other, I am forever indebted. (As I am to my fellow Committed members who were absolutely volunteered by me!)
To Johnathan and Clare Kirwan from The Burger Express for donating their profits from their Chip-van outside the event, rounding it up to £500. Truly amazing generosity.
To Niall, Niall and Mick from TechPro for transforming St enda's Hall in to a truly impressive and professional event with both light & sound.
Big thanks to Aidan Dunphy for providing a Drum-Kit for the evening for everyone to batter, saved us a lot of hassle!
To Enda Harpur for providing the tunes in between acts with a whopping playlist (that should definitely be shared Enda!)
To Liam O'Neill and Michael Clarke for capturing footage of the event for Larry to watch back on, it meant so much to him to be able to see it.
Big thank you to Terry McClean from iDesign for donating the banner and drum skin, very much appreciated (especially at the last minute!)

ACT PROFILE: OTHER SOUND (with Guest Erin Boyle)

Other Sound started 2 years ago opening for local bands in Omagh. James and Tom first met through the Red Balloon Guitar Workshop for the Enda Dolan Foundation in 2014 and were inspired to form their own band to become better musicians and create their own sound.
James was inspired by his Dad (Larry Lowe) and the career he has had in music, which has led to Other Sound gigging in pubs, and for parties, across the county every weekend since, playing a range of rock and pop music.

ACT PROFILE: FREERIDER

Freerider are a band that needs no introduction…at least to each other. The semi-legendary (self appointed) progeny of many’s a furtive lunchtime jam in Omagh CBS music rooms, the members - brothers Niall & Liam Donnelly, Ronan Mullan and Matt McGlinn (not knowingly related) have enjoyed making loud noises together for over 2 decades.

Their recent hiatus from high decibel performance has imbued upon the band a newfound freedom and excitement about their Larrypalooza show -and the addition of Paul Mongan the Magnificent (as he prefers to be known, though often unsuccessfully..) on keys, breathes new life into the band’s catalogue of material.

ACT PROFILE: The Committed

The Comitted are a 10-piece band that delivers a Live performance of Soul Music from one of the greatest Irish films of all time, The Commitments; the story of the greatest band that never existed.
Just like the movie, The Committed play tribute to such classic tunes such as Take Me To The River, Chain of Fools, Midnight Hour and Mustang Sally, all made infamous on these shores due to the success of the movie and soundtrack.
The added bonus of being a Tribute to a Covers Band, is having the creative license to do other major Soul Hits such as My Girl, Soul Man, Knock on Wood, and many more.
The Committed feature an array of talented musicians and singers who deliver a pulsating night of music wherever they perform and are never shy in bringing “Soul to the Proletariat”

This is shaping up to be the only gig this year that the band will perform at, so do not miss the opportunity to “Ride, Sally Ride”.

As we approach the big night, we will start profiling the acts performing.

First up:

ACT PROFILE: TURKEY SHACK

Born in the greasiest corner of a late-night blues joint(McCanns), Turkey Shack emerged as the unholy matrimony of funk and blues that nobody knew they needed until they heard it. This groove machine consists of Nigel (aka "The Rhythm Turkey") holding down the drum throne with beats so tasty they should come with gravy, and Niall Moore (aka "The Brass Gobbler") bringing the heat on vocals while his trumpet screams sweet soul into the night.

Keeping the low end locked tighter than a deep-fried turkey wrapper is Gerry (aka "Bass Baster"), whose funk-fueled bass lines have been known to make vegetarians question their life choices.

The twin-guitar attack of Niall McEnhill and Stephen Houston (known collectively as "The Stuffing Brothers") weaves between gritty blues licks and funk rhythms so tight they could make James Brown crack a smile.
